科学的アプローチで競走馬の生産・育成基盤を支える！
1998年に北海道・浦河町の日高育成牧場に設置された生産育成研究室では、サラブレッド生産の中心に位置する研究室として、「繁殖牝馬の妊娠管理」「若馬特有の疾病」「育成馬の飼養管理」「育成調教時の体力評価」など、交配時から競走馬としてデビューするまでにサラブレッド生産地でみられるさまざまな課題の解決に向けた調査研究に取り組んでいます。これらの研究から得られた成果を講演会・普及誌などを通して馬関係者に還元することで、サラブレッドの生産・育成基盤の強化を目指した強い馬づくりに貢献しています。
The Equine Science Division has established within the Hidaka Training and Research Center at Urakawa, Hokkaido, in 1998. As a laboratory located in the capital of the Japanese racehorse breeding industry, our mission is to solve a variety of breeding and training problems through various scientific approaches such as nutrition, reproduction, pasture management, veterinary medicine and exercise physiology. By spreading the research results out to the veterinarians, owners and employees of the horse breeding farms through lectures and magazines, we are contributing to the improvement of racehorse production and training methods.
