競走能力をパワーアップする!
運動科学研究室では、心臓や肺などの酸素運搬能力や筋肉のトレーニング適応に関する研究、走行フォームや筋活動などを解析するバイオメカニクスに関する研究、糖やアミノ酸の代謝など栄養に関する研究を行っています。これらの分野の研究を総合的に行うことで、競走馬が速く走ることができる仕組みについて明らかにし、科学的に裏付けられたトレーニング法、飼料給与法、怪我や熱中症を起こす要因や予防法などについて提言しています。
The Sports Science Division focuses on cardiovascular and skeletal muscle physiology, biomechanics on locomotion and muscle activity, and nutrition on carbohydrate and amino acid metabolism in horses. Our purpose is to clarify the mechanism on equine athletic performance through the integrative studies on exercise physiology and biomechanics, and we have made scientific evidence-based suggestions on training, nutrition, and risk factors for musculoskeletal disorders and exertional heat illness.
